    The IPMO recognises all International Mediation Institute

    (IMI)-accredited foundational mediation training courses. These are courses which IMI approves as "Qualifying Assessment Programmes" (QAPs). 


    Mediation Foundation Ireland are taking bookings for their first IMI and IPMO-accredited online mediation training courses of 2023

    As per our admission rules, certification on this course, which involves passing the assessment, will qualify you to become an IPMO NQ member.

    ARC Mediation are offering an IPMO-accredited Family Mediation course in February 2023. 

    The course is being delivered online with training on the following days: 

    • Day 1 - online - full day - Thursday 2nd February from 9am to 6pm
    • Day 2 - online - full day - Friday 3rd February from 9am to 6pm
    • Day 3 - online - half day on Thursday 9th February from 2pm to 6pm
    • Day 4 - online - half day on Friday 10th February from 2pm to 6pm
    • Day 5 - online - half day on Thursday 16th February from 2pm to 6pm
    • Day 6 - online- half day on Friday 17th February from 2pm to 6:30pm

    The course syllabus involves over 32 hours of face-to-face training, supplemented with reading material & video lectures. Applicants must have completed mediation training such that they would be eligible to be an IPMO-accredited mediator at NQ level or higher. See IPMO eligibility details

    ARC Mediation are offering an IPMO-accredited Family Mediation course in September 2022.

    • Day 3 - online - half day on Thursday 22nd September from 2pm to 6pm

    • Day 5 - online - half day on Thursday 29th September from 2pm to 6pm
    • Day 6 - online- half day on Friday 30th September from 2pm to 6:30pm

    We are delighted to announce the first IPMO-accredited supervision programme for NQ mediators, offered by Mediation Foundation of Ireland (MFI).


    The Programme

    Newly qualified mediators (NQM) will meet online once per month over twelve months (ten sessions) or equivalent.

    The group size will be limited to a maximum of fifteen (15) NQMs and a minimum of nine (9). Topics to be discussed at the supervision sessions will include: -

    • Guidance on different mediation models
    • Exploration of advanced mediation skills
    • Mediation sessions – sole, joint, multi-party & shuttle – how to decide
    • Communications between sessions incl. time-outs
    • Creation of case file notes
    • Liaising with a legal representative of a disputant
    • Understanding section 11 of the Mediation Act 2017 (enforcement of mediated agreements)
    • Framework for personal and professional goals
    • Consistent standards in mediation – including ethics & professional practice
    • Planning on how to gain work as a mediator

    NQMs will be able to ask for particular topics to be discussed at supervision sessions.

    Every one-hour session will aim to improve the mediation skills of all attendees.

    The supervision sessions will be interactive and will seek to address issues of most concern to NQMs.

    Cost €985 / participant, course is offered subject to minimum numbers being met.

    "Our next online course begins to take place on the following dates – 13, 14, 20, 21, 27 and 28th January 2022 with assessment on 4th February."
